Purpose of the Huerto-Ibero

The Huerto Ibero is part of the collaborators of the Institute for Applied Research and Technology (InIAT), which is dedicated to promoting well-being through technological transformation.

It conducts inter- and transdisciplinary research that contributes to environmental education on topics such as urban agriculture and the improvement of productive processes in urban crops through the integration of technology.

Huerto Ibero aims to become a leading reference in research on the socioeconomic, health, and environmental impacts of having a productive green space within an academic institution.

It seeks to promote the adoption of urban agriculture within university communities and society at large.

It strives to be an example of the integration of traditional agroecological techniques with automation technologies and data science to improve food production.

Purpose of the Website

The Huerto Ibero website will serve as a platform to showcase its work in research, environmental education, and urban agriculture. Its objectives are:

To disseminate the socioeconomic, environmental, and health impacts of productive green spaces within academic institutions.

To facilitate access to research on urban agriculture and the use of technology in crop production.

To promote the adoption of urban agriculture within university communities and broader society.

To demonstrate the integration of agroecological techniques with automation and data science.

To foster well-being through technological transformation in agriculture.

This site will connect academia with society, making key information on sustainable and innovative urban gardens more accessible.
